Sylvan C Margadonna

Sylvan C Margadonna, 89, of Manchester died Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Community Medical Center, Toms River. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he moved to Staten Island before moving to Manchester 20 years ago. He served in the Air Force during the Korean War. After the war he continued to work at his father's trucking company, The White Express, where he had started at as a teenager, and eventually became owner. He then retired in the 90's after more than 40 years. He was a parishioner of St John's Church, Lakehurst. He was a phenomenal bowler, scoring two perfect games while on various leagues in his lifetime. Sylvan was always very athletic and played baseball in the minor leagues and an avid golfer. He is predeceased by his wife, Marie Margadonna in 2019, and sister, Theresa Mucci. He is survived by his daughter, Julieann Fox, sons, Anthony Margadonna, Guy Decatrel, grandchildren, Amber Fox & Serena Decatrel and sister-in-law, Linda Galecki. Visitation is Sunday 2-6pm at Oliverie Funeral Home, 2925 Ridgeway Road. Funeral Liturgy is Monday 9:30 AM at St John's Church, Lakehurst with interment to follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Brooklyn.
