Sylvester D. Fox, 80, of Frankfort, KS, passed away on July 6, 2024, at the Frankfort Community Care Home.
The family will receive friends on August 10, from noon to 5 p.m., at Padden Funeral Chapel.
Sylvester was born on July 11, 1943, at Frankfort, the son of Sylvester and Ethel A. (Becker) Fox. He graduated from the 8th grade and was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Frankfort.
On December 14, 1998, he was united in marriage to Eldora Russell in Marysville. Sylvester was a carpenter and worked in construction. He was an artist at his craft and took pride in his work. He enjoyed his customers and had a special relationship with many that he worked with.
To relax, he enjoyed fishing, camping, and playing with his grandchildren. Sylvester was a quiet gentle loving man, whose family was the most important to him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Nanette; son, Kyle; and siblings, Galen, Glen and Darlene.
Survivors include his wife, Eldora; children, Rachel Taylor, Bradley (Zoe) Fox, Jerimiah Arnold, Douglas Tryon, Christy Fox, Donnie Fox, Ronald Fox and Nathan Fox; sister, Viola Gerstenkorn; and twenty-five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A memorial fund has been established and will be designated later. Contributions may be sent in care of Padden Funeral Chapel, c/o Kinsley Mortuary, P.O. Box 147, Marysville, KS 66508.
