She was a devoted member of Tabernacle Missionary Baptist Church in Whitesburg, TN since childhood where she serve as a Church Mother, and as the Chair of the Dietary staff.
Sylvia was proceeded in death by her husband, Allen Gene Riley, her father and mother, Louis and Nina B. Arnett; sister, Beulah Lee; brothers, Dale and Edward Arnett.
Sylvia leaves to cherish her memories: one son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Anthony (Jan) Wilson of Homestead, Fl; step-mother/mother, Beatrice Arnett of Greeneville, TN; sisters, Georgia Kyle of Whitesburg, TN, Phyllis Blevins of Morristown, TN, Darlyn (Larry) McCrae of Belaire, MD; brother, Robert Arnett of Farragut, TN; sister-in-law, Deborah Arnett of Kingsport, TN and Dorothy Treece of Morristown, TN; brother-in-law, Joseph Riley of Morgan County, TN; special niece, Melessa Lee of Knoxville, TN and life long friend Dr. Janice Houston-Little of New York; several nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, cousins and her Tabernacle church family.
Home going services will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Dockery-Senter Funeral Home, Inc. with visitation from 11 to 12 and services 12 noon. Mrs. Riley will be laid to rest in the Andrew Johnson National Cemetery in Greeneville, TN. To plant a beautiful memorial tree in memory of Sylvia, please visit our Tree Store.
