Sylvia Sharron (Sturdefant) Bolin, age 90, of Highlandville passed away in her home early Wednesday, November 9, 2022. She born in Springfield, MO to Everett and Otha Sturdefant on October 22, 1932. On June 4, 1955 she married the love of her life, Harold “Shorty” Bolin, they celebrated 60 earthly years together in June of 2015 before he was called home. Sylvia was a homemaker, and loved her years preparing and serving food for the children of Highlandville and Spokane; all of the children became her extended family. Sylvia had a servants heart and loved the Lord; she was happiest with a home full of family and friends all gathered around a bountiful feast prepared by her loving hands.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband Shorty, sons Randy and Wayne, siblings, Donna Bradford, Delford Sturdefant, and Dewayne Sturdefant. She is survived by her son Dennis Bolin and daughter Lora Bolin, both of Highlandville, ten grandchildren – Brad and Mara, Alison, Leigha and Jason, Amber, Abby and Chris, William and Hannah, Jessica and Lee, Sarah and Cody, Randal “Bo” and Shelby, Kyle and Kyra, and great grandchildren – Aleasa, Ethan, Anthony, Greyson, Makenna, Evie, Cayleigh, Mckinlee, Jonah, Maesyn, Millie, Dean, Aeson.
Services for Sylvia will be 11:00 AM Monday, November 14 in Adams Funeral Home, Nixa. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until time for the service on Monday. Burial will follow the service in Highlandville Cemetery.
