The Villages, FL
Sylvia Cardone, 93, passed away on July 2, 2025 at Trinity Springs in Oxford, FL. Born in Enfield, CT on June 22, 1932, she was the daughter of the late William and Mary(Panos) Vasilocosta.
For many years, Sylvia and her late husband John, managed their own business, Medical Personnel Pool of West Springfield.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 66 years, John J. Cardone who passed away on July 17,2021 and her siblings Gus and George Vasilocosta, Ruth Perry, Jennie Hill, Jane Albano and Irene Gianetti.
To cherish her memory, Sylvia leaves her children, Darlene Fortin and husband Paul, John J. Cardone Jr. and partner Sue Parchick, Christopher Cardone and wife Carol, her grandchildren John J. Cardone, III, Luke Cardone, Lisa Boeger and Stephen Cardone; her great grandchildren Grace, Sophia and Taylor Cardone, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Sylvia will lie in state from 9 – 10 AM on Thursday, July 10, 2025 in St. Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 400 Prospect St. East Longmeadow with a service to follow at 10 AM. Burial will be in Agawam Center Cemetery, Main St. Agawam.
