Sylvia Cottrell, age 84, passed away on October 5, 2024. Born on August 8, 1940, in Sutton, West Virginia, she was the beloved daughter of the late Fred and Goldie Johnson. Sylvia was the devoted wife of the late Ewell Cottrell and a loving mother to Julia Romantic (Deceased), Kathy Taylor (John), and the late Ewell Jr. Cottrell (Debbie). She was a cherished grandmother to Jonie Cottrell, Jerry Cottrell (Maureen), Chassity Taylor, Alesia Nunemaker, John Taylor II, Nickie Cottrell, Mindy Cottrell, Shauna Cottrell, and Amber Cottrell, as well as a great, great-great, and great-great-great grandmother. Sylvia was a dear sister to Gene, Dairse, Janet, Carol, Betty, Jigs, Kay, Kenny, and Don, and a treasured aunt to many nieces and nephews. She enjoyed shopping, listening to music, decorating her home, and had a deep love for flowers. Sylvia will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024, at 2 p.m., at West Park Cemetery 3942 Ridge Rd. Cleveland, OH 44144 (please meet at gates by 1:45 p.m.)
