McDougal Funeral HomeSylvia Lee Agutter Howard Dahm was born on January 30, 1942, in Salt Lake City, Utah to Frank Wilson Agutter and Sophronia Stephenson Agutter. She passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025.
She spent her childhood years growing up in the Avenues area of Salt Lake and attended West High School, where she met Paul Y Howard. They married and had 6 children, then later divorced. Sometime later she met and married Alan Dahm, then they later divorced.
Sylvia leaves behind her loving children: Mark (Allison) Howard, Jeff (Gerri) Howard, Doug (Heather) Howard, Ann (Ron) Whitecar, and Wendy Bangerter, 11 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and sister: Colleen.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters: JoAnn, Sharon, and Susan Rae, and son: Gary Scott Howard.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Monument Health Cottonwood Creek Care Center for their loving care of Sylvia during the last several years of her life.
A viewing will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 10:00-11:00 am at McDougal Funeral Home (4330 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah). Following the viewing will be a graveside service at Taylorsville City Cemetery (4567 South Redwood Road, Taylorsville, Utah) starting at 11:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to your local food pantry or charity of your choice.
