Sylvia Lillian Engel

Sylvia L. (Brousseau) Engel, passed away December 11, 2025, in Landmark Medical Center, Woonsocket, RI. Born in Woonsocket she was the daughter of the late Lucien and Eva (Gregoire) Brousseau.
Sylvia worked for many years at Tupperware before moving to Seymour, WI, where she was united in marriage to Frederick Engel on October 10, 1985. Her husband Frederick preceded her in death November 2005.
Fred had a farm north of Seymour, WI, where Sylvia loved to garden even after Fred's passing until her health declined.
She was a faithful member of the Green Bay Seventh-day Adventist Church until April 2024 when she moved back to RI and then attended the Burrillville Seventh-day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her siblings; Lucien wife Georgette Brousseau, Bob Brousseau, Roger wife Laurene Brousseau, Normand wife Barbara Brousseau, Edgar wife Barbara Brousseau, Bill wife Philomina Brousseau, Claire husband Arthur-deceased Entwistle, Sue husband Bill Chasse, Mary Drane, Lucille L'Brit, and several nieces and nephews. She was Predeceased by a sister Jeanne Durand.
She is also survived by Fred's children; Ed wife Jeanne Engel both deceased, Mary husband Jerry deceased Froderman, Dan wife Christal Engal, Mark wife Diane Engel and Ruth Engel. Fred's grandchildren; adopted children of Ed are Maria husband Mike Neufeld, Joe Kawecki, Brian wife Kim Froderman, Denise Engel, Alicia husband Kurt VanHandel, Jill husband Mark Joosten, Tanya husband Jeff Arps, Luke wife Lisa Engel, Angela husband Pat Edden, Buck wife Heidi Engel. Many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is also survived dy her special friends Dan and Joanne Green and many others.
Private funeral services are under the direction of the Boucher Funeral Home, Pascoag, RI.
