Sylvia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She loved her family dearly and excitedly looked forward to spending time with them, especially her four grandchildren and great grandson. She had many friends, both old and new, who played a vital role in her life.
She was born to Bernard and Rose Schneiderman in New York, married David and moved to Long Island, New York to raise their three children. After living in Brooklyn Heights, NY and Hilton Head Island, S.C., Sylvia and David settled in Sarasota, Florida.

She was a loyal member of the Sarasota Jewish Chorale at Temple Emanu-El in Sarasota and thoroughly enjoyed singing and developing significant relationships with many of the other members. Sylvia was always a curious person, interested in people and the world around her. She listened to the radio frequently, read the New York Times daily, and engaged with others whenever possible with an inviting and open attitude.
