I am a former student of both of the Harrisons. Mrs. Harrison was the epitome of classiness and a wonderful teacher. She sparked my joy for writing. I was her student at Lake Taylor High and she made learning a pleasure. I admired her as a beautiful, warm and educated Queen who cared deeply for her students. My deepest condolences and prayers for comfort are extended during this difficult time.

I am a former student of both of the Harrisons. Mrs. Harrison was the epitome of classiness and a wonderful teacher. She sparked my joy for writing. I was her student at Crestwood and worked with her in the Norfolk system when I started teaching. My deepest condolences and prayers for comfort are extended during this difficult time.
Bless you

To the Harrison family, I am praying for God's comfort and peace to surround you during this most difficult time. I worked with Sylvia during her time working in the central office of Norfolk Public Schools. My memories of her will revolve around her love of the written word as well as her demeanor. She was such a regal lady. We counted on Sylvia to critique and review resources/materials that would be distributed to schools as well as to review our own writing. She was always so gracious. God Bless her family.

I was hired in my mother's place when she retired from the library media center at Lake Taylor High School in 1990. Mom had told me about Mrs. Sylvia Harrison saying, "She is a true lady!" I came to find out that she indeed was a true lady and a lovely person! To her family and loved ones, please accept my deepest sympathies. Praying that you to experience God's peace, love and comfort.
