Sioux Falls - Sylvia Jean Herman, 87, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Dow Rummel.
A celebration of life service will be held at 1:00pm Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Wesley United Methodist Church with family present one hour prior to the service to greet friends.

Sylvia was the last "mom" to a group of long time girl friends of Carmen. She had an easy way about her that caused us to feel welcome and cared for. We will all miss her beyond words.

Sylvia was a wonderful kind, giving, special lady, I’ve known her since 2004 from Wesley Methodist Church she was in my church circle and was always making wonderful desserts. When she lived at Dow Rummel since I also live at Dow Rummel I felt bad that I never had a chance to get to see her because of the quarantine and her being in a different wing of the buildings. Bernie and me send our deepest Sympathy to Carmen and the rest of her family. God Be With You! Our thoughts and prayers are with you!
