Sylvia Ann Morgan McCoy

Sylvia Ann Morgan McCoy, age 72, passed away on March 5, 2026. She was born on November 24, 1953, to the late Alton and Maurine Morgan.

Sylvia was a loving wife, mother, sister, and aunt who treasured time with her family. She was a member of High Point Baptist Church and was saved as a young girl at Southside Methodist Church. Sylvia worked for many years as a rural letter carrier with the Albertville Post Office, where she enjoyed serving her community. In her free time, Sylvia loved reading, bird watching, being outdoors, collecting gnomes, and taking photographs. She was known for always having a sweet smile on her face and laughter in her heart.

In addition to her parents, Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband, Randy McCoy, and her sister, Kathy. She is survived by her daughter, Melinda Allcorn (John); her sister, Theresa Thacker (Darrell); and a host of nieces and nephews.

A visitation will be held on Friday, March 13, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Adams Brown Service Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m. Adams Brown Service Funeral Home is assisting the family during this difficult time.
