Sylvia Anne Loveless Price
Sylvia "Anne" Loveless Price was born on September 23, 1948, in San Angelo, TX to her parents W.R. (Bill) Loveless and Leona Jewel Loveless. Anne passed away on Sunday night, July 7, 2024, in her Dallas, TX apartment. Anne graduated from Eden High School in Eden, TX in 1963. She attended Texas Tech University for two years before going to the School of Business at the University of Texas – Austin and graduating in 1967. Worked at a furniture store in Austin for a year until her fiance Lanier, graduated from the UT School of Architecture in 1968. Anne and Lanier married on June 22, 1968 in the Lutheran Church in Eden, Texas. Then they moved to Dallas, Texas together.
Anne was married to Harold Lanier Price. They went to the same elementary school and high school together in Eden, TX. Anne worked for many years for Oilwell Division of U.S. Steel – Dallas as a file clerk. Anne lost both of her legs above the knee to infection from a cat bite in 2004 and was in a wheelchair until she became bedridden. She liked reading catalogs she got in the mail and ordering items she liked by phone. She also spent time reading her Kings James Bible and knew it well. After years of Bible classes at the Lutheran Church in Eden, TX. She attended various church services in Dallas until in her wheelchair, then she got monthly bulletins from various faith-based organizations. Anne's one quirk was that she was stubborn. She did not go to doctors or dentist for check-ups. She was a generous and caring person, always more concerned about the welfare of others.
Anne is preceded in death by her father and mother (Eden, TX).
She is survived in death by her spouse, H. Lanier Price of Dallas, TX and cousins: Hawley Pfluger of Big Springs, TX; Jim Pfluger of Eden, TX; Melody Apple of Brownwood, TX; Monique Berggren of Austin, TX; and their children and families.
Anne Price's funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at 11:00 A.M. at Jeter & Son Funeral Home; located at 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, TX 75211. Pastor Jay Skelton will be officiating the service.
Anne's body will be transported to Eden, TX Funeral Home for service on Thursday, July 18, 2024, at 11:00 A.M., followed by burial with her parents at the Loveless Cemetery, Southeast of Eden.
