Sylvia G. Ramsay (Janke), age 91 of Perham, MN, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Sunday, July 27, 2025 at Perham Living.
She was born November 23, 1933, in Evergreen Township, MN to Albert and Grace Janke (Roselor). She attended grade school in the Frazee area. Sylvia was baptized and confirmed at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church of Evergreen.
Sylvia was married to Albert Ziemann from 1950 until his passing in 1975. She later married Allen Ramsay in 1980, who passed away in 1997.
She enjoyed farming and was proud to have worked at Tuffy’s for many years and eventually retired from there. Sylvia loved ceramics, flowers, and gardening, which brought her much joy throughout her life.
Sylvia is survived by her children, Don (Donna) Ziemann of Anoka, MN, LaVon Loerzel of Menahga, MN, and Arlin Ziemann of Redmond, OR; grandchildren, Brad Ziegler of Aberdeen, SD, Vanessa (Jedediah) Jager, Susan (Dennis) Lachowitzer, Chantelle (Douglas) Davis, Dustin (Megan) Ziemann of WI, Sheila Ziemann (Jon Rausch) of FL; great grandchildren, Joseph, Celeena, Cheyanne, Branson, and Austria Lachowitzer, Cameron, Emily and Madelyn Ziegler, Addison, Lake, Jedediah and Hazel Jager, Paige and Raelynn Ziemann, Dylan, Gavin, and Seaver Davis, Ivan Lachowitzer, and Rosalyn and Emmerson Netland;and sister, Caroline Bunkowske.
Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Albert Ziemann and Alan Ramsay; granddaughter, Jean Ziemann; sister and brother-in-law, Richard and Grace Anderson; brothers, Edward Janke and Gordon Janke; brother-in-law, Gerald Gorentz; and daughter-in-law, Lillian Ziemann.
At Sylvia’s request, no public services will be held.
