Sylvia Refenes Obituary
Sylvia was an administrative assistant at the Asheville VA Medical Center. She enjoyed quilting, cooking, yoga, reading, being outdoors, walking on the beach, shell hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
Surviving Sylvia is her spouse of 40 years, Jim Refenes; daughter, Amy Nave of Springfield, OR; sisters, Wendy Lowe of Hilton Head, SC, and Cindy Melton of Shelby, NC; brother, Ken Fussell of Arden, NC; and granddaughters, Emma Kottwitz of Bristol, VA, and Bella Kottwitz of Springfield, OR.
A celebration of life will be held in October. In lieu of flowers, we ask that all donations be made in Memory of Sylvia Refenes to Four Seasons Hospice-571 S Allen Road, Flat Rock, NC 28731.

So very sorry to hear of Sylvia's passing. She was a delight to be around. Rely on your faith and you will know: death is not the end,it is the open gateway to heaven. She is at peace in the saviors loving arms.
