Sylvia Gomez Ruiz was born on February 18, 1955, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Enrique Gomez and Martha Lidia Ruiz. She passed away peacefully on October 13, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, surrounded by her loved ones.
She is survived by her beloved mother, Martha Lidia Ruiz; her two beautiful daughters, Angelica Luévanos and Tabitha Luévanos; her brothers, Ricardo Gomez, Enrique Gomez, Luis Humberto Gomez, and Jorge Gomez; and her sister, Patricia Gomez. Sylvia is also survived by five cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren who brought her endless joy.
Sylvia was a joyful and vibrant person who loved life. She graduated twice-one in Mexico and again here in the United States, an accomplishment she was very proud of and loved to share with others. She believed deeply in the value of education and hard work.
She enjoyed shopping, relaxing with a glass of wine, and watching documentaries on TV. Her greatest passion was spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply. She also loved dining out-especially at her favorite spot, Gonzalez Restaurant in Dallas.
Sylvia's joyful spirit, outgoing personality, and loving heart touched everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
May she rest in peace.
