Sylvia Smith

Sylvia Smith, 85, passed away on December 10, 2025. The memorial service will be 3pm Sunday, December 14, 2025, at Stringer Family Chapel in Crystal Springs. The visitation will 2pm-3pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Smith was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. As an elementary teacher and pastor's wife, she dedicated her life to the service of others. She loved doting on her children and grandchildren, listening to Elvis, and rooting for the Crimson Tide.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Dewey Smith Jr., parents, Ida Merle Moore and William "Billy" Graves, brothers, Terry Moore and William "Billy" Graves, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Dede Smith.

She is survived by her three children, Todd Smith of Petal, MS, Jennifer Smith Allen of Crystal Springs, MS, and Scott Smith (Sherry) of Crystal Springs, MS; six grandchildren Zach Smith (Gabby), Kalee Moore (Clint), Zane Smith, Lily Allen, Blythe Allen, and Taylor Smith; and her great-grandchildren, Presley Ann Smith, Grayson Moore, Benton Moore, Opal Smith, Ozzie Smith, and John Dewey Smith.
