Sylvia Stewart Obituary

Sylvia enjoyed being a seamstress, dancing, listening to music, and traveling all over the U.S. She was full of life, loved to laugh, and was known for her sense of humor and love for flowers.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Merty Stewart; sons, Ivan and Michael Stewart Rutledge; daughter, Katherine Ann Jenkins; brother, Randall Stewart; sisters, Linda Myers and Edith Alexander; and three grandchildren. Sylvia leaves behind to cherish her memory, her daughters, Holly (Matt) Joiner, Myra (Vincent) Corbo, and Phyllis (William) Apthorp; sons, James Eric Rutledge, John Wendall Rutledge, and Christopher Rutledge; brother, Virgil (Janice) Stewart; sister, Rosie Henry; twelve grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 10:00 am followed by a funeral service at 11:00 am, all at Oak Ridge Funeral Care in Haines City, FL. Final resting place will be at Oak Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Loughman, FL.
