Obituary published on Legacy.com by Owens Funeral Service - Lebanon on Feb. 27, 2026.
It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of Sylvia Amalia Martinez Summers, who left us on February 23, 2026, at the age of 61. Born on March 13, 1964, Sylvia was a beacon of light and creativity in the lives of all who knew her.
Sylvia was a gifted artist, renowned for her stunning portraits and breathtaking landscapes. Her talent extended beyond the canvas; she created beautiful, handcrafted gifts that touched the hearts of family and friends during special occasions. Each piece reflected her passion, love, and an eye for beauty.
An avid animal lover, Sylvia cared deeply for her pets and dedicated her time to rehabilitating injured wildlife. Her remarkable ability to connect with animals earned her the loving nickname, "The Bird Whisperer."
A devoted wife to Larry Summers, and a loving mother to her two sons, Robert and Alexander, Sylvia will be dearly missed by her family and the many lives she impacted. She had a remarkable ability to stand out in any crowd, not only because of her radiant long hair and luminous smile but also due to the warmth she brought into every room.
Her legacy will live on through her art, the love she shared, and the memories treasured by her family and friends.
