Michael Carpenter

Michael Lawrence Carpenter, age 62, of Lebanon, Va., passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026. Born in Lebanon, on May 24, 1963, he was the son of the late William and Betty Ruth Sword Carpenter.

He was a Christian and worked in the K-VA-T Food City office. He enjoyed watching wrestling and sitting on his porch in Cedar Creek.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Alvin Carpenter; nephew, Jason Carpenter; sister-in-law, Betty Carpenter.

Survivors include his brothers, Jack Carpenter and wife Debbie and Rick Carpenter; sister-in-law, Sherry Carpenter; nephews, Brad Carpenter, Luke Carpenter and Josh Carpenter; niece, Vanessa Carpenter Osborne; numerous great and great-great nephews and nieces.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, in the Owens Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Darryl Harmon officiating.

Interment will be private.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, at the funeral home, one hour before the service.
