Mrs. Sylvia Stone Walker, age 69, of Enigma, Ga. passed away Friday, September 12, 2025, at her home in Enigma, Ga.
Born October 12, l955, in Homerville, Ga., Mrs. Walker was the daughter of the late Ervin, Sr. and Florine Hutchinson Stone. She had made her home in Enigma, Ga. for most of her life and was a member of new Bethel Church in Pearson, Ga. She worked for many years at Wal Mart as a cashier and stock person. In her spare time, she enjoyed shopping, crafts and spending time with family, especially her grandchildren and great grands. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Hawkins.

Son: Myron Stone of Pearson, Ga.
3 Daughters: Wendy Funderburk and husband Anthony of Pearson, Ga.
Tina Meloy and husband Chris of Pearson, Ga.
Ashley Lee and husband Daniel of Louisville, Ky.
2 Brothers: J.E. Stone of Pearson, Ga.
Ervin Stone, Jr. of Pearson, Ga.
Sister: Marion Mervar of Pearson, Ga.
Special Sister-in-Laws: Katie Moore of Brookfield, Ga.
Judy Martinez of Norman Park, Ga.
5 grandchildren: Kari Funderburk, John Douglas Funderburk and wife Jordan, Audra Dyal, Chelsey Meloy and Emma Meloy.
8 Great Grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and other relatives also survive.
Funeral services for Mrs. Walker were held on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. at New Bethel Baptist Church in Pearson, Ga. with Rev. J.A. Anderson officiating. Special music included “Heaven Was Needing a Hero” by cd and “Vacation” and “Amazing Grace” rendered by Marlin Smith. Soft music for the Prelude and Postlude was played by Wanda Spikes, pianist. The interment followed in New Bethel Cemetery.
Serving as active pallbearers were, Austin Smith, Jason Troupe, Jacob Tanner, Devin Taft, Mathew Taft and Buddy Taft.
Relihan Funeral Home in Pearson, Ga. was in charge of the arrangements.
