Sylvia Arlene Wilson, 79 passed away at the Northeast Regional Medical Center on February, 9, 2026.
Sylvia Arlene Wilson was born on January 28th 1947 in Worthington, MO. She grew up enjoying life and spending her time with all of her siblings, when Sylvia was a teenage girl, she accepted Jesus into her heart and forever believed she would end up with Jesus.
Sylvia worked as a CNA in Healthcare, and then went on to work 13 years at Holister in Kirksville, MO. She was a kind hearted woman who loved to laugh, joke around with you, tell stories and listen to country music.
Sylvia had twin daughters on September 21, 1966. She then married the love of her life, Glenn Dale Wilson on December 24th, 1976. Sylvia spent most of her days with Glen out on their farm and being around her family.
Proceeding Sylvia in death is her mother Alice Bernetta Followwill and father Glen Davis Capps and her husband Glenn Wilson. Also proceeding her in death are three brothers Franky Capps, Eddy Capps and Gordon Capps.
Surviving Slyvia are three sisters Peggy McLaughlin (Jim), Kay Gregory (Marvin), Bernetta Loughead (Danie) all from Macon, MO; four brothers, Larry Capps (Nona) of Macon, MO, Kenneth Capps (Diana) from Karnak, Illinois, and Norman Capps (Gayle), Marvin Capps (Sandy) from Davenport, IA; two daughters, Sharon Clark (Troy) of Milan, MO and Karen Moore (Tony) of Unionville, MO; four grandchildren, Chris McCaslin (Seth) of St Louis, MO, Kendra Harrison (Marcus) of Kirksville, MO, Laticia Smith of Milan, MO and Cody Smith of Unionville, MO; Six great grandchildren (Karah and Kyah Harrison), Autumn, Lexie, and Olivia Smith and Zephaniah Clark, along with several nieces and nephews.
In life Sylvia loved to ride around her family farm with Glen and later on enjoyed camping with Troy and Sharon and going on lunch dates and shopping trips with her granddaughter Kendra. Sylvia will always be remembered by having a beautiful smile and making anyone around her laugh and feel special.
A Graveside service for Sylvia will be held at the Lone Pine Cemetery Friday, February 13, 2026 at 2:30pm. Visitation will be held an hour prior at 1:00pm at Thomas Funeral Home in Unionville, MO. Memorials in honor of Sylvia made be made to the Lone Pine Cemetery and mailed to Thomas Funeral Home Attn: Wilson Family 709 27th St. Unionville, MO 63565.
