Tad Bruce Angel, 64 of Carterville, IL, formerly of Metropolis, IL, passed away peacefully at his residence on May 13, 2025.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18, 2025 at Aikins-Farmer-Loftus-McManus Funeral Home with Rev. Micah Spicer officiating. Burial will follow in Metropolis Memorial Gardens.
Tad worked in logistics for Aisin Electronics for 12 years, although he should have been a meteorologist on account of his love and willingness to discuss the weather at any moment. He was of Christian faith, enjoyed hiking, loved music, (especially his vinyls) and was a drummer in a band in his younger years, loved airplanes and his favorite thing to do at home was watch tornado documentaries and play his music as loud as he could. Above all though, Tad loved his family, especially his kids and grandkids, and cherished every moment spent with them.
Tad is survived by his daughters, Alexis Spicer (Jordan) and Kaitlyn Angel (Zach Kilgore); son, Joseph Angel; grandchildren, Brynnleigh Spicer and Tyler Kilgore; sisters, Tami Angel-Decker (Larry) and Denise Angel; nieces and nephews, Chandra Rinehart, Christopher Rinehart, David LaVeau, Nemiah Moore, Miranda Baker and Joshua Pike; numerous beloved great nieces and nephews; and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Peggy Angel; maternal grandparents, Cecil and Eva Price; and paternal grandparents, Rev. O. L. and Doris Angel.
Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 18th at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to the funeral home at PO Box 760, Metropolis, IL 62960 for Tad's children c/o Denise Angel to help with future endeavors. Condolences may be left online at www.aikinsfarmer-millerfh.com.
