Takeshi Chikazawa Obituary

Chikazawa, Takeshi, "Taki", age 77, formerly of North Chicago peacefully passed away Thursday, October 28, 2021. He was a graduate of Minatogawa private Junior College in Sanda, Hyogo, Japan. Taki was born in Kobe, Japan and migrated to the United States over 40 years ago. Taki's talents were many, he was a wonderful cook, dancer, singer, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, community volunteer and friend who loved to entertain. He enjoyed traveling, eating, going to church, playing Mahjong and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his daughter, Mia; 2 grandchildren, Lia and Joey Smith, and 4 great grandchildren; Jayden Smith, Devin Coffman, Hendricks Rowley and Eddisyn Smith. Services will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, November 4, 2021 at Lakeview Funeral Home, 1458 W. Belmont Avenue 60657 with Rev. Yoshito Anno officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Burial at Montrose Cemetery & Crematorium for family on November 6, 2021. The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful help and care given by Lake Forest Hospital Intensive Care Unit. Condolences may be sent to the family.
