Micah Talan Summers, age 34, passed away peacefully on July 1st, surrounded by loved ones. Born on April 12, 1991, Talan was a true warrior from day one, facing life’s challenges with unwavering strength, determination and a sense of humor.
Growing up in Bothwell, Talan attended Bear River High School, where he showcased his talents on both the basketball court and football field. His love for sports was matched only by his passion for hunting, playing golf, and most importantly, spending cherished time with his family. Talan was a true patriot who loved our country and had a deep abiding respect and admiration for the military and those who serve.
Talan also had a deep love for our Savior and was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints throughout his life. He served as a service missionary at the Brigham City Temple, working in various capacities.
Despite facing debilitating health challenges over the last several years, Talan’s resilience and will to thrive served as a beacon of inspiration to all who knew him. His courage, kindness, and joyful spirit touched countless lives and will forever be remembered.
Talan was preceded in death by his mom, Jennifer; his older brother, Skyler; cousins and grandparents. He leaves behind his father Stan Summers; sister Jandie (Matt) Fielding and nephews: Huxley, Lachlan, and Beckham; stepmother Michelle Summers; stepbrothers Matthew and Mason Wood; as well as many other beloved family members and friends.
To know Talan was to love Talan! His legacy is one of strength, love and perseverance. He will be deeply missed, but forever held in our hearts as we look forward to that joyful day when we will see him again.
A very special thanks to Dr. Jeff Lish and all the health care providers who loved and cared for Talan throughout his life.
