Taliya Devonne Rayna Crawford

Taliya DeVonne Rayna Crawford was born May 8, 2025 in Chicago, IL to the union of Rashad Antwon George Crawford and Tionna DeVonne Harris Crawford. From the moment Taliya entered this world, she knew no limits or no rules; she created her own rules to life starting from the time she spent in her mother's womb.
During the first month of her life, Taliya shocked her family and friends with her awareness of her surroundings and her contagious smile. Even as a baby Taliya was brilliant. At 3 weeks old, she was using her fist to hold her own bottle. At only five weeks old, Taliya proved herself as a true warrior when she had a Kasai surgery to address her rare liver condition. When her grandparents, Thomas and Gayle entered the hospital room to visit, Gayle said "Hi," and to everyone's surprise, Taliya replied, "Hi!". After having heart surgery at 4 months old, Taliya continued to demonstrate resilience and strength. Taliya overcame many challenges at such a young age and was a true definition of a miracle from God.
Taliya was a beautiful and happy baby who loved smiling and cooing. Taliya loved being held by her mommy throughout the day and being rocked by her daddy in the rocking chair. Taliya often watched her big sister, Raziya, with curiosity as she would jump and play around. She enjoyed video calls with her distant grandparents and aunts. She enjoyed being babysat by her Papa Thomas, also known as his "twin," and singing with him.
Taliya wa loved by so many family and friends. She was always happy to see her church family and play with her church sisters. She was surrounded in prayer by a host of family and friends throughout her life. At 5 months old, she was baptized by her Pastor, Rev. Willie B. Weaver, Jr., First Lady, Rev. Cassandra Weaver, and godmother, Rev. Wabrina Wesley. After blessing her family with her precious presence, On Sunday, October 26, 2026, Taliya traded her earthly cradle for Heaven's embrace.
She leaves to cherish her memories; her mommy, Tionna DeVonne Harris Crawford; her daddy, Rashad Anton George Crawford; her sister, Raziya Taliya Dior Crawford; grandparents,, Thomas and Vanessa Gayle Harris, Richard George and Eleanor Yates, Feronica Crawford and Ganiyu Gbeleyi; uncles, Thomas Harris Jr., Carter Meyer Niko George; aunts, Kandice Hayden, Yuma (Matt) Moore, Tralyce Allen, Dazaray George and Tati Hayden; godmother, Rev. Yabrina Wesley; godfather, Nicholas McClure; godsisters, TaRae Lomax and Khaki Holley; godbrother, Ryan Jackson; and a host of great aunts, great uncles, cousins, church family and many friends.
