Tamara Brown

Tamara Brown, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on October 4, 2025, at the age of 71. Loving mother of Anissa Brown (Eugenio), Daniel Brown III, David Brown (Venise) and Stephen Brown (Jamie). Cherished grandmother of 6, Daniel Brown IV, Tamara Brown, Chase Brown, Chance Brown, David Brown Jr. and Chloe Brown. Tamara is also survived by 5 siblings, Debra Scott, Sherry Biggs, Terrence Gilmore, Sylvia Daniel, Darnell Watson and many loving nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Tamara is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Brown Jr., mother Dorothy Watson, father Torrence Gilmore and stepfather Dennis Watson. Tamara graduated from Overbrook High School and attended Community College of Philadelphia, where she studied criminology. Tamara received Christ as her personal savior at an early age and joined Deliverance Evangelistic Church in Philadelphia, PA, where she would meet and marry her late husband Daniel Brown Jr. on December 28th, 1974. Tamara was educated at Jameson Schools of Ministry and Theology and would go on to become an evangelist, sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ and being a witness and encourager to all. Tamara was also a woman with many gifts. She worked in the healthcare field, Lockheed Martin, Eros and was also a hairstylist and seamstress. Tamara enjoyed spending time with friends and family. She loved to cook, especially during the holidays for them. She found joy in travelling and seeing new places. She also had a passion for music and loved to sing, but most importantly, Tamara loved God! Relatives and friends are invited to Tamara's Life Celebration on Tuesday October 14, 2025, from 10:30am to 12:15pm at John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Rd, Philadelphia, PA 19154, followed by her service at 12:30pm. Her Interment will be at Beechwood Cemetery, 2026 Bensalem Blvd, Bensalem, PA 19020, at 2pm.
