Tamara Farmer Obituary
Tammy passed away Wednesday, January 7, 2026, in Tyler. She was born October 22, 1964, in Kilgore to Mary Lou Barton Farmer and Charles T. Farmer.
Tammy was a member of Green Acres Baptist Church. She graduated from Pine Tree High School and Kilgore College. She was a long-time employee of Tyler Junior College.
Tammy was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Joe and Myrtle Farmer, maternal grandparents, Calvin and Mae Bell Barton, and beloved uncle and aunt, Troy and Jean White. She is survived by her daughter, Kloie Elaine Farmer; parents, Charles and Mary Lou Farmer; brother and sister-in-law, Tony and Joni Farmer; nephew, Travis Farmer and his family: wife Emily, daughter, Georgia, and son, Sam; and nephew Garrett Farmer. She also leaves behind a large loving family of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Honorary pallbearers are Travis Farmer, Garrett Farmer, Jason Smith, Tate Smith, Ross Melton, Alan Gooding, Will Lawrence, and Clay Lawrence.
Visitation is scheduled from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 14, 2026, at Stewart Family Funeral Home, 7525 Old Jacksonville Highway, in Tyler.
If desired, memorials may be made to Hope for 100, 1607 Troup Highway, Tyler, TX 75701 or The Fostering Collective, 201 Winchester Drive, Tyler, Texas 75701.

So sorry to hear of Tamera's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with my Barton cousins, family and friends. Prayers for peace and comfort.

I worked with Tammy for many years at TJC. She was a wonderful person and a true friend. I had just spoken to her the other day, and she was telling me how excited she was about her new position at work. Her joy was contagious.
I always loved hearing her stories about Kloie-and especially about Kloie´s pet rat. Those little moments showed her warmth, her humor, and how much she loved the people in her life.
I will miss you, Tammy. My life is better for having known you.
I am in awe of her final, noble gift of organ donation. Because of her, others will live, heal, and have more time with the people they love. What an extraordinary legacy.
Take care, Tammy. I´ll see you on the other side.
