Tamara Marie Halliburton went to be with Jesus on Thursday, October 30th, fully healed, whole, and at peace. Tammy was born on December 28, 1960, to Elizabeth Pace in Caldwell County, Kentucky. She later moved to Clarksville, Tennessee, in 1980, when she met and fell in love with Robert Kent Halliburton, marrying just months after they met.

Tammy desired to be a mom more than anything. She always said she couldn't wait to have someone to love-and to be loved back in that way. Together she and Kent had three daughters who became their world and raised them in the home they built by hand on the family farm in Sango. When the girls were young, Tammy and Kent made sure they were rooted in faith, attending Little Hope Baptist Church and teaching them to know and love Jesus-the greatest gift they could ever give.

For more than 20 years, she worked as a hairstylist, running a salon right out of her home so she could be present to raise her girls. God gave her a talent with her hands that seemed to have no limits-from sewing clothes for her daughters to crafting curtains, bed linens, pillows, and the small touches that turned a house into a home. She found joy in planting flowers, tending her yard, and preparing homemade meals each night. Tammy was blessed with an undeniable creativity and a gift for making anything beautiful.

Tammy was many things to many people, and she lived them all fully. She was strong-willed and fiercely protective of the ones she loved, with a little bit of sass and a quick wit that could make anyone laugh. She was creative and crafty, always dreaming up something beautiful with her hands. She loved deeply, stood firm in what she believed, and carried both tenderness and strength in equal measure. Those who knew her will remember not just what she did, but the way she did it-with heart, with humor, and with a fierce kind of love.

But Tammy's life also held deep sorrow. The loss of their first daughter, Elizabeth "Shea" Halliburton Wright, in 2016 left a grief that never fully lifted. She carried that heartache, longing for the day when she would be reunited with her girl in heaven. As her family, we take comfort in knowing that day has come. She was lovingly known as "Mammy" to her eight grandchildren, all of whom adored her beyond measure. In her final moments, she was surrounded by that love-seventeen family members gathered in and around her bed, all holding her hand as she went home to be with Jesus. It was a beautiful testimony to just how deeply she was loved.

Tammy will be laid to rest on the family farm, beside her oldest daughter-reunited again in the very soil that held their laughter, their tears, and their life together. There is something tender and sacred in that… a mother and daughter resting side by side, just steps away from the little white house where their story first began.

"In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety." - Psalm 4:8

Tammy is survived by her husband, Robert Kent Halliburton; daughters Sara Halliburton (Chad) Hendrix and Lindsey Halliburton (Cody) Heggie, both of Clarksville; mother Elizabeth Pace; sister Leslie (Tommy) Saltsman; son-in-law Joshua (Laura) Wright; and eight grandchildren: Kinsley Hendrix, Mack Hendrix, Halli Heggie, Eva Wright, Bella Heggie, Elsie Hendrix, Livie Heggie, and Willa Heggie.

She was preceded in death by her oldest daughter, Elizabeth Shea Halliburton Wright; maternal grandmother Audrey Freels; and paternal parents Elizabeth and Robert Halliburton.
