Tamara Denice Lopez

Tamara D. Lopez (Tammy), age 46 of Odenton, MD, transitioned into eternal rest on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at her residence.

Tamara was born on April 28, 1977, in Columbus County, North Carolina to Donald and Sylvia Burt Evans of Chadbourn, North Carolina. Tamara graduated from West Columbus High School. She was a proud graduate of North Carolina Central University where she received her bachelor’s degree. During her time at NCCU, she was a member of NCCU Sound Machine Eagle Essence Dance Team and Bon Vivant Modeling Troupe. After graduation she entered the workforce at Cingular Wireless in Fayetteville, NC.
Tamara met the love of her life, Ty Jacob Lopez in Spring Lake, NC. Jacob asked Tamara for her hand in marriage at The Ironwood Café in Pinehurst, NC. They moved to Maryland where she became a Consumer Productions Strategic Analyst at Bank of America.
Tamara cherished every moment of her life with her son and his favorite companion, Maizey. Her son was her everything. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, and friend. Tamara had a fun, loving, protective soul with an infectious smile that will be deeply missed by all.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Fred Russell and Nell B. Evans, Eugene Burt, Sr. and Vivian S. Burt; uncles John F. Evans, James N. Burt, Wayland S. Burt, and Arthur G. Burt; aunts Denise Burt and Vernedia Dobbins.
Tamara leaves to honor and cherish her loving memories: 
Her husband of 16 years (together 23 years), Ty Jacob Lopez; son, Ty Evan Lopez; parents, Donald and Sylvia B. Evans of Chadbourn, NC; siblings, Daryl L. Evans (Jasmine) of Fayetteville, NC, and Nashawn (Maximino) Ramos of Port Orange, FL; nephews, Bryan and Jaden Ramos of Port Orange FL; mother-in-law, Regina (Mike) Seferian of Oregon, OH; sister-inlaw, Christin Lopez of Toledo, OH; brother-in-law, Donny Goulding of Toledo, OH; special cousin, L. Gene (Sabrina) Dobbins II of Aberdeen, MD; special aunt, Barbara Ann Dees; spiritual sister, Giovanna Walton and a host of loving aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family, and friends.
