Tamara Marie "Tammy" Lund, 49, of Edison, passed away suddenly but peacefully in her sleep
on Saturday, July 26, 2025 at her home in Edison. Born in New Brunswick, she was raised in
Edison, where she had resided for most of her life. She was predeceased by her beloved mother, Patricia Lund, who died in 2020, and the father
of her daughter, Daniel George. She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Lilyanna George of West Milford; her father, Rudolph Lund of Woodland Hills, CA; her brother Michael Lund and his wife, Claudia, of Los Angeles, CA; and all of her aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends. Tammy was born on July 17, 1976 to her loving parents, Patricia and Rudolph Lund, and was
raised in Edison, NJ alongside her younger brother Michael. She attended St. Matthews school
as a child and later graduated from Edison High School in 1994. She was born into a home that was filled with love and laughter, and she got to grow up
surrounded by a large family that loved her just as much as she loved them. Christmas at
grandma and grandpa's, birthday parties in her cousins' pool, poker games at the house,
summer picnics in the backyard, there is no shortage of memories that filled Tammy's life for
nearly five decades. Memories that will live on through those who loved her most. Tammy was the unique type of person who would always put the needs of others in front of her
own. She would help anyone who needed it, and she had a heart of gold. Tammy's tendency
to help others naturally led her to a career in the medical field where she became a Licensed
Practical Nurse, working in the home healthcare field. Her desire to help wasn't limited to
people as she was an avid animal lover. More than one time she showed up with a stray dog
because her heart was too big to leave an animal in need. That was Tammy. Always putting
others ahead of herself. Of all the people in Tammy's life, no one was more important than her daughter Lily. An
unbreakable bond filled with unconditional love guided them, and she tirelessly and without
hesitation poured her soul into being a mother. A source of unwavering love, fierce protection
and selfless devotion, Tammy would do anything for her greatest gift, Lilyanna.
Though Tammy is no longer with us, her love will remain in everything and everyone who was lucky enough to be loved by her. Visitation will take place on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, from 3 pm until 5 pm at the Flynn and Son/ Mitruska Funeral Home Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave. Fords, NJ 08863. Cremation services will follow privately.
