Tammy was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ralph and Sylvia Porter and Owen and Clida Keith, her mother, Carolina (Porter) Keith, her sister, Wyanetta Johnson, her son, Steven Mullins, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was born July 24th, 1961 to Gene and the late Carolina Keith , who raised her with a strong work ethic, to be honest, forgiving, giving, kind, and to have integrity; values she embodied daily. She met the love of their life, Steve Mullins in 1983 through his sister Doris at Eagle Pointe in
Bloomington, Indiana. They have been inseparable since and were married in
Bloomington, Indiana on December 11th, 1989. Tammy was a 1979 Bloomington High School North graduate. She then worked various jobs, but always had a passion for working with children. She opened her own childcare and eventually owned 4 childcare locations where she poured her heart into helping grow children's minds while providing a safe and nurturing environment for them. She had deep connections with her childcare families and would go out of her way to meet their needs. She often kept children after hours, over night, and weekends when that is what a family needed. She went above and beyond by taking children to doctor appointments, school, and even purchasing clothing, food, and school supplies for families in need. We couldn't have asked for a better wife, parent, grandparent, sibling, aunt, and friend. She will be missed greatly. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all those who loved who loved her. He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake. 4 Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. 5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. 6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
