Tami Hill Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Cremation Services of East Alabama, Inc. - Anniston on Feb. 23, 2026.
Tami Renee Hill, age 60, of Lincoln, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at St. Vincent's Hospital. She bravely battled Alzheimer's with frontal temporal dementia, and her family takes comfort in knowing she is now at peace and her memory is whole again.

Born on October 12, 1965, in Sylacauga, Alabama, Tami was the daughter of the late Ellis and Tina Ogle. She was a longtime resident of Lincoln, where she lived with her devoted caregiver and companion, Anthony.

Tami's greatest joy in life was her family. She treasured every moment spent with her children, Chrystyna Buse (Caleb), Elisabeth Taylor-Hester (Ganser), Patton Hill (Libby) and Chase Hill, and her eight beloved grandchildren, Annslee Hester, Hunter Buse, Hudson Hester, Carter Buse, Elijah Hill, Addilynn Hester, Maverick Hill & Abbey Hill, who were the light of her life. The family finds comfort knowing that Tami has been reunited in heaven with her son, Patton, who passed away in 2019 following a tragic accident. His loss was a deep sorrow that Tami carried with her, and we find peace imagining their joyful reunion.

A beautiful soul who found strength in her faith, Tami loved gathering with family and friends. She had a vibrant spirit and a wide range of simple pleasures. She loved the sand and surf of Gulf Shores, the energy of classic country and old-time rock and roll, and summer trips to Michigan to spend time with newly acquired friends. An avid fan, she loved to cheer on her Auburn Tigers and was always ready to shout a hearty "War Eagle!" whenever they secured a win. She loved cooking in the kitchen for her family. She loved to talk about her mom and her stepmom, both named Tina, holding their memories close to her heart.

Tami was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Robinson (Mamaw); father, Ellis Ogle; her mother, Tina Ogle; her son, Patton Hill and son-in-law, Greg Hester.

She will be deeply missed and forever loved for her strength, her loving soul, and the warmth she brought to every gathering. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loving children, her eight cherished grandchildren, and the many friends and family who were blessed to know her.

May God receive Tami with the same boundless love she shared with us all.

We will always love you.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you gather your loved ones close, listen to some old-time rock and roll, and remember the beautiful soul that was Tami Hill.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at a later date.
