Tami Jackson was born on November 14, 1959 in Gainesville Georgia to Patricia Jackson and Henry Butts. Tammy was called home on January 21, 2026. She was preceded in death by her mother Patricia Jackson, (Pat), her father Henry Butts (Hen), her brother Kenny Butts, her uncle Terry Butler, and her son Merrick Harrison (Big Pun) and also her best friend Leslie Lavon Young.

Tami went to Gainesville high school. She worked at the Holiday Inn as a housekeeper for seven years. She was a woman who loved her kids and her family. During her free time, she love to play cards with friends and family. Tonk was one of her favorites games.

She leaves to cherish her memories to her special friend Paul Harrison, sons: Quincey Kemon Harrison (Shaun), Steven Martez Jackson (Teno) (Dalana); special aunt Karen Horne; grandkids, Marecka (Kaleigha & Kash) ,Keelay, Jackie, Cambren Merrick Jr., QuinTasha Harrison (Carter, Royalty, Hassan) Chloe ,Mylah, Steven, Kadence, Malachi Jackson and two special nieces, Lakevia Finch, Charneshia Butler (Brandon); special nephews: Corie (Cassandra) and Marquis Maddox; Kenji Jones (Courtney); Favorite cousin Irvin Simpson, along with sisters: Cheryl Maddox, Valerie Stephens, Christine Butts, Cathy Mason, Tess Welchel, Dee Ingram (Reggie), Carlos, Ricky, Henry (Andrea) Glenn; (Tarsha) Butts and a host of other family and friends.
