Tammy Hill Carter

LINDSIDE, WV – Tammy Hill Carter, age 61, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at her home in Lindside, WV. Born April 21, 1964, in Pearisburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Glen Roy and Katherine Pence Hill. Tammy worked as an Acetone Recovery Operator at Celanese. She enjoyed cross-stitching and crocheting. When she retired, she enjoyed cooking and finding new recipes.
In addition to her parents, Tammy was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Ray Carter; sister, Dorothy "Dottie" (Keith) Shafer; brother, Gary Wayne Hill; nephew, Eric "Bo" Shafer; and father-in-law, James Euclid Carter.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Dustin James Carter of Lindside, WV; one daughter, Whitney Danielle Carter of Barboursville, WV; mother-in-law, Linda Carter of Peterstown, WV; nephews, Heath Hill and wife Amanda, and Jarrod Hill and wife Sasha, all of Peterstown, WV; great nieces and nephew, Jessa Hill, Waylon Hill, and Briar Shafer; and special friends that she thought of as sisters, Cheryl Wilburn and Teresa Morgan.
