Tammy K. Chapman, 50, of Sullivan, Missouri, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 5, 2025 surrounded by her loving family and friends.
Tammy Kay Roach was born September 29, 1974 to the late Larry and Wanda Roach in Sullivan, Missouri. She grew up and attended school in Sullivan, graduating with the class of 1993.
Following high school, Tammy went to work at the Bobber Travel Center until its closure. She then began employment with Meramec Caverns where she was a treasured employee for many years.
Tammy was a bright light in a dark world, always bringing a smile or laugh to anyone who crossed her path. In 2019, Tammy was united in marriage to the love of her life, Kevin Chapman on May 18. Together they shared countless treasured memories and took great joy and pride in raising their granddaughter, Kayonie. Kayonie was the light of Tammy's life.
Tammy always enjoyed getting together with her big Roach family, spending time with her siblings and crafting. Tammy embarked on a courageous battle with cancer in the early months of 2024, she fought hard and handled her treatments with grit and grace. Her faith in the Lord was her cornerstone throughout her battle.
Tammy wished to give a special "Thank You" to the many people that helped care for her for the last several months. A special thank you to her care team and the Heartland Hospice Staff; to Travis Roach, Angel Field, Robin Babb, Carolynn Cross, Betty Jean Hansmann, Ashley Tucker, Carol, David, Brittney, Wendy Copeland, Tim Bartle, Corey Bartle, Brandi Bartle, and James Bartle.
Tammy is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Kevin Chapman of Sullivan, Missouri; her beloved granddaughter, Kayonie Jones; her brother, Travis Roach of Forest Grove, OR; her nieces and nephews: Brandon Roach of Sullivan, MO, Felicia Campbell and husband Brandon of Cabool, MO, Casey, Emilee, & Abbey Roach, all of Sullivan, MO; her sisters, Angell Kettenacker of Rockford, MN and Betty Jeane Hansman of Pacific, MO; numerous aunts, uncles and a host of cousins and special friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Larry & Wanda; a brother, Shannon Roach; and her paternal and maternal grandparents.
No services are planned at this time.
