Tammy Collins Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 7, 2024.
Tammy Ann Collins, 58 went to be with her Lord and Savior, Sunday, October 6, 2024. She was born November 2, 1965 in Batesville, AR to her loving parents, Buster and Juanita Collins.
Tammy may have been 58 but she was a precious child. She was very disciplined and routines made things easier for her. She enjoyed coloring, putting puzzles together and watching the Gaither's and Caroll Robinson on Saturday nights. She enjoyed having "girl's night" with Minola, Georgie and Marcie. Morgan was her best friend along with Lolly, her most favorite dog, ever. She loved reading her Bible.
Luke 9:47-48 tells us of love.
"And He said to them "Whoever receives thus child in MY name, receives Me, and whoever receives Me, receives Him who sent me; for the one who is least among all of you, this is the one who is great."
Tammy was truly innocent. The definition of innocent:
1. A person from sin; a young child
2. A naïve, inexperienced or unsophisticated person.
3. A blameless person; a person who does not deserve to be harmed.
But Jesus called for the little ones, saying, "Allow the children to come to Me, and do not forbid them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. Truly I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child, will not enter it at all." ~~Luke 18:16-17
Tammy was an overcomer. She overcame adversities only through Jesus. She has become a template for us who knew her. We've witnessed God's love. Let's take her example with us and be God's expressions here on earth, like she was. Her life was a testimony of God's faithfulness and love. We can be overcomers too.
"Everyone who believes that Jesus is the Christ has been born of God, and everyone who loves the Father loves the child born of Him. By this we know that we love the children of God, when we love God and follow His commandments. For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome. For whoever has been born of God overcomes the world; and THIS is the victory that has overcome the world: our faith."
Tammy was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Rose Ann Collins.
She leaves behind her sister, Minola Brock and husband, Danny. Also a sister, Kim (David) Hubanks, whom has been forgiven.
Graveside services are 3:00PM Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Yorktown with Bro. Brian Brock officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Friends and family may visit at Minola and Danny's home.
