In Loving Memory of Tammy Jeanette Eitzman
August 31, 1963 – October 2, 2025
Lynchburg, SC.... Tammy Jeanette Eitzman of Lynchburg, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord and her mother, Barbara, and father, David ("Grandma" and "Pop") on October 2, 2025.
Born in North Carolina on August 31, 1963, Tammy lived a life marked by compassion, curiosity, and joy. She spent more than four decades caring for others as a Licensed Practical Nurse, beginning her career in 1983. Her most cherished years were spent serving as an ER nurse at McLeod Medical Center in Florence, SC, and later at Turbeville Correctional Institution, where she cared for the sick and the incarcerated with extraordinary kindness and respect. Her coworkers remember her as a bright light - dependable, passionate, and loved by all who had the privilege of working alongside her.
Tammy had a deep love for Jesus (affectionately known to her as "JC"). Her relationship with Him shaped every part of who she was. Whether listening with care, offering a comforting word, or jumping in to help someone in need, Tammy lived her faith in the way she treated people-with dignity, warmth, and genuine love.
Outside of her work, Tammy found peace and joy in nature. She loved hiking, camping, and spending time in the mountains. She was endlessly curious, always eager to learn something new, and could strike up a meaningful conversation with anyone. She had a gift for making people feel truly heard and valued, leaving every encounter a little brighter than before.
Tammy is survived by her daughter, Randi Eitzman; sons Adam Eitzman and David "Drake" Eitzman; sister Ondria Tucker; brother David Burr Jr.; and her beloved grandson Zander Eitzman.
The family will hold a private memorial at a later date, where her ashes will be laid to rest between her mother and father at Anson Memorial Park in Wadesboro, North Carolina.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tammy's memory to support causes close to her heart - helping the sick and the imprisoned - through one of the following organizations:
