It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Tammy L. Gartner Bauerle Campbell on Friday, June 20, 2025, at her home.
Tammy was born on September 20, 1966, in Axtell, Kansas to Ray and Sue Chandler Gartner. She grew up in Oneida and Bern, Kansas. She graduated from Bern High School. Tammy then went to Vo-Tech in Topeka and received her certificate in Child Care. She worked at Menninger Child Care, First Christian, VA Child Care and Christ the King Preschool.
Tammy married David Bauerle on April 11, 1993 and he preceded her in death in 2019. She found a second love in Tony Campbell and they were married on September 14, 2024 and he survives.
Tammy's hobbies included baking, shopping, motorcycle riding and visiting family and many friends. She loved to collect angels, penguins and nutcrackers. Tammy was part of the September 3 Musketeers – Tammy, Dee Grimes and the late Dawn Feldkamp; high school friends.
Tammy also loved to get her Sonic Happy Hour Vanilla Root Beer.
Tammy is survived by her husband, Tony Campbell of the home; sister, Cindy DuBois, Topeka; brother-in-law, William Lowe, Hiawatha KS; sister-in-law, Teresa Gartner, Horton KS; step-children, Megan DeSpain (Brian), Baker FL, Dexter, Peter and Paige Campbell, Hiawatha; mothers-in-law, Jean Bauerle, Osage City KS, and Carol Jones, Hiawatha; fathers-in-law, Frank Campbell (Vickie), Portland OR, and Wayne Jones, Hiawatha; several nieces and nephews; and her class at Christ the King Preschool.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Bauerle; parents; brothers, Steve, Kent, Dan, Terry and Chris Gartner; sister, Janice Lowe; brother-in-law, Don Du Bois; and father-in-law, Larry Bauerle.
Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the funeral home. Cremation will follow her service.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Preschool and sent in care of the funeral home.
