Mrs. Tammy Starr Reed Gross, 62, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2024, at Forsyth Medical Center. She was born in McDowell Co., West Virginia on June 27, 1961. Tammy was a member of King Christian Center, where she was involved with many areas of the church, including being a Sunday School Teacher and working with the teens at the church. She enjoyed spending time at the beach and Pigeon Forge. She was preceded in death by her son, William Carl Gross, Jr.; her grandparents, Lumis and Vivian Smith; and an aunt, Thelma Montgomery. Tammy is survived by her husband, William Carl Gross; a daughter, Amanda Starr Gross (Brian Hiatt); her mother, Dorothy Smith Asbury; her brother, Darrin Reed (Pam); and several nieces, and extended family. She is also survived by her three dogs that she loved dearly, Sampson, Delilah; and grand dog, Buddy Lee. A graveside service will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 24, 2024, at Rural Hall Memorial Park with Pastor Randall Smith officiating.
