Tammy was born on January 3, 1966, in Alma, the daughter of Maynard and Shalimar "Shirley" (Barr) Danks. She was a 1984 graduate of St. Louis High School. Tammy worked for Consumers Energy as a Customer Service Agent for over 20 years. She had a great fondness for Golden Retrievers.
Being a mother and grandmother was Tammy's greatest passion. Her family was her entire world, especially her beloved granddaughters.
She is survived by her children, Michael (Angie) Halliwill, Kristy (Zane) Chaffin; grandchildren, Michaela Halliwill and Emily Chaffin. Also, her mother, Shirley; brothers Alton (Mary) Danks, Rick (Holly Favero) Danks and many nieces and nephews.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Maynard and sister-in-law, Cindy Danks.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 4, 2024, at 11 am at Lux-Moody-Wolfel Funeral Home, Alma with Pastor Doug Strait officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday. March 3rd from 3-6 pm and again on Monday from 10 am until the time of services at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the wishes of the family in care of Kristy Chaffin.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to see Tammy has passed. She was my neighbor about 25 years. We had many wonderful conversations over the fence through the years becoming fond friends. I watched her children grow up and enjoyed her dogs too! I will try to make it to her services but am currently sick with covid. I hope I test negative by the 4th. Prayers for comfort to the family and friends during this very sad time. Tammy and her family were a great pleasure to have next door for so many years.
