Tammy Lynn Cuddy Heddings, 53, of Bedford, Virginia passed away on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. She was the daughter of Willian Cuddy and the late Judith Gregory.
She was born on December 21, 1971, in Roanoke, Virginia. Tammy attended school at Patrick Henry, then pursued her Bachelor of Arts in Education at Randolph College. Upon graduation, she began teaching at R.S. Payne Elementary School and quickly fell into her passion for educating young minds. Tammy’s love for education grew further, inspiring her to pursue and obtain her Master of Education in School Administration. Tammy then began teaching at Rustburg Elementary shortly after, where her influence spread even further.
Tammy enjoyed going to the beach, attending concerts with her daughter, watching True Crime shows, and overall enjoyed spending time with her family. Tammy was known for her tenacity and strength to overcome any obstacle that came her way, as well as her kindness and compassion that spread far and wide.
She is survived by her loving husband, Troy Heddings; children, Mason Heddings and wife Melinda, Nicole Heddings, Jake Cuddy, and Josh Musgrove; grandchild, Hazel Heddings; brother, Ted Cuddy and wife Teresa; sister, Teresa Conley and Jennifer Venable; adopted parents, Frank and Judy Hackworth; and numerous other family and friends.

A memorial to celebrate Tammy’s life will be held Saturday, October 25th at Quaker Baptist Church from 2pm to 5pm. Quaker Baptist Church is located on 4665 Chestnut Fork Rd in Bedford VA, 24523. There is no dress code.
