It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tammy Lynn Leonard, 56, of Deer Park, Texas. Tammy passed away on December 1, 2024, surrounded by loved ones and family.
Tammy was born on June 4, 1968, in Pasadena, Texas, to her loving parents. She was a proud and devoted single mother of three, Tammy embraced her role as a provider, protector, and the glue that held her family together. She was not only a mother but also a cherished "Mimi" to 12 grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
A natural leader, Tammy wore many hats throughout her life. She was an exceptional softball player, winning first place with her team, the Knights, and earning a spot on the All-Star team. She carried her love of sports into coaching, where she inspired young athletes in both softball and basketball. Tammy was also a dedicated worker who brought passion and commitment to everything she did.
Tammy's home was the heart of her family, hosting countless holidays, birthdays, and gatherings filled with laughter, love, and joy. She had an incredible sense of humor, often joking with her kids about walking home if they didn't sing Shakira in the car. She loved Mexican food, playing spades, going to the lake, and spending time with her family, friends, and beloved dogs.
Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Eugene Leonard; her sister, Sandi; her grandparents; and her beloved four-legged son, Scooby. She will now be reunited with them and the love of her life in heaven.
Tammy is survived by her loving mother, Kathy Leonard; her four children, Brittany, Drew, Brooke, and Scrappy; her nieces Logan and Kara; her nephew Richard; and her 12 adored grandchildren: Layla, Emmalyn, Hayzel, Bryce, Kaden, Jaclyn, Elliot, Jax, Jace, Waylon, Ever, and Knox.
A celebration of Tammy's life will be held on **Monday, December 9, 2024**. The viewing will take place from 12:00 PM until service time. Service will be at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Deer Park Funeral Directors, 336 E. San Augustine, Deer Park, TX. Interment San Jacinto Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join us as we honor Tammy's incredible life and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
Tammy will forever be remembered as a devoted mother, a loving Mimi, a loyal friend, and a beacon of strength and joy for all who were blessed to know her.
