Tammy S. Pruitt, 62, wife to Eddie Pruitt of Inman, SC passed away Thursday, August 21, 2025, at Spartanburg Medical Center. Born September 14, 1962, in Chesnee, SC, she was a daughter of the late Clayton Eugene Scruggs and Elva Gaynell Davidson.

Tammy's life reflected her deep love for the Lord. She was a member of Brooklyn Baptist Church. Tammy had a servant's heart and faithfully served her church family through singing in the choir and teaching Sunday School. Her faith was the foundation of her life, and she lived it with grace and humility. Tammy's kindness extended to the kitchen, where she shared her love through cooking. She was known for several dishes that became favorites at church gatherings, but none were as famous as her chocolate oatmeal cookies. Even with her recipe in hand, no one could quite replicate the magic touch she had.

Known affectionately as "Grammy" by her beloved grandchildren, Tammy poured her heart into her family. She took care of everyone and everything, always putting others before herself. Some of her happiest moments were spent at their home on Lake Bowen surrounded by those she loved, or enjoying a trip to Pigeon Forge, one of her favorite destinations.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother, Bobby Scruggs.

She Is survived by her adoring husband, Eddie Pruitt; sons, Zach Pruitt (Meghan), Luke Pruitt (Cassidy); sister, Sandra Wolfe (Bo); brothers, Terry Scruggs (Jackie), David Scruggs (Fran), and Steve Scruggs; grandchildren, Jax Pruitt, Tate Pruitt, Magnolia Pruitt, and Callahan Pruitt.

A funeral service to celebrate Tammy's life will be held 2:00PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Brooklyn Baptist Church with Pastor Clay Collins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 12:00PM until 2:00PM on Monday, August 25, 2025, at Brooklyn Baptist Church.

Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be, Bo Owens, Kyle Scruggs, Bo Walker, Randy Scruggs, Michael Walker, and Kyle Collins.

Tammy's life was a beautiful example of love, faith, and devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of service, family, and treasured memories that will never be forgotten.
