Tammy Renea Pusser, 52, of Summertown, Tennessee, passed away on December 6, 2024. She was born on March 16, 1972, in Detroit, Michigan, to Terry Wayne and Glenda Carroll Sager. When Tammy was a child, her family moved to Summertown, where her parents built the home she and her husband Anthony would later share.
Tammy was a compassionate and kind-hearted woman who never met a stranger. She had a deep love for people, nature, and animals. She especially enjoyed fishing and spending peaceful days by the river. Her life was brightened by her cherished pets: her dogs Womble Jaw, Tom (aka Red), Max, and a spirited rooster named Ricky, who mysteriously appeared at her home one day. Ricky kept a unique schedule, going to bed at 3 PM and waking up at midnight.
A graduate of Lewis County High School, Tammy pursued her passion for cosmetology at Tennessee Vocational School, earning her license and becoming a talented self-employed hairdresser.
Tammy and Anthony shared a beautiful life together, filled with adventure and love. They enjoyed off-roading, four-wheeling, and traveling wherever life took them. Their bond was inseparable - wherever Anthony went, Tammy was right by his side.
Faith played an essential role in Tammy's life. She and Anthony were active members of Panoramic Church in Summertown and previously attended Hinestown Church.
She is survived by her husband Anthony Pusser, mother Glenda Ann Sager, son Nathan (Katie) Pusser, Kenny Boyette & Justin Korp who were like sons, niece Dallana Sager & nephews Dillon & Deven Sager who were like her own children and brother Tracy Sager. She is preceded in death by her father Terry Wayne Sager and grandparents Aaron & Wanda Carroll.
Visitation with the family will be held on Monday, December 9th from 4:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald, TN.
A graveside service will be conducted on Tuesday, December 10 beginning at 2:00 at Hinestown Cemetery in Summertown, TN.
McDonald Funeral Home is honored to be serving the Pusser family.
