Tammy Reymann Obituary
Tammy Reymann, 50, of Akron, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on December 26, 2023. Tammy was born in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, on May 24, 1973, to mother, Linda Gutendorf and father, Homer Sayre. Tammy was a 1991 graduate of Pymatuning Valley High School and obtained a certificate in Culinary Arts at Ashtabula County Joint Vocational School that same year.
Tammy had a passion for cooking, baking, and making many homemade recipes that she would never share. Tammy will always be remembered for her talented cooking and the love she poured into her food. Everyone that had gone to Tammy's, never left her house without a home-cooked meal to take "on the go" with them. Tammy's favorite phrase was, "If you can't stand the heat, get out of the kitchen," literally, as she was always found in the kitchen, making delicious meals for everyone. Tammy had a big heart that was made of gold and she was a "do-er." If it needed to be done, Tammy would help take care of it.
Tammy was a wonderful mother to her four daughters. Tammy enjoyed taking her children on mini-vacations, camping, playing board games, sending funny videos, taking them to soccer practices, watching them win their soccer games and showing them her skills. She was their biggest cheerleader, number one fan and always wanted them to excel. Though Tammy loved her kids dearly, she wanted nothing more than her grandchildren by her side. Her favorite role of all time was being a devoted grandma to four. Tammy would do anything to see them smile; no matter what it would take to get them there. Tammy treasured every moment and hug. Tammy's favorite activities with her grandchildren involved making messes out of paint and glue for arts and crafts, watching Disney movies, and creating her own fun DIY activities for them to do. She loved teaching them cooking skills, whether that be cutting cucumbers, grating cheese, dicing tomatoes or chopping celery. It didn't matter what it was, she loved teaching them how to cook. Tammy was always eager to send them home with the many goodies that they made together. Tammy also loved grabbing and tickling her grandkids to make them smile and laugh; she loved having a good time with them. There was never a time where Tammy didn't brag about her grandkids. Before her passing, she was excited to learn that she had two more grandchildren on the way. She was eager to watch them grow up and, of course, teach them how to cook.
Tammy met her husband, Jon Reymann, in Akron, Ohio. Once Tammy and Jon met, they locked eyes and immediately fell in love with each other. Tammy and Jon eloped on June 18, 2011. They enjoyed continuous playful banter on a daily basis and loved to prank each other often. Tammy and Jon were so in love and inseparable, that there wasn't a time you would see them apart. If you saw Tammy, you saw Jon. Jon was a jack-of-all-trades and taught Tammy how to master many other great skills, which added so much more character to her qualities over the years.
Tammy was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Gutendorf; husband, Jon Reymann; step-mom, Sharon Doyle; and many other countless friends and family members.Tammy is survived by her four beautiful daughters, Kimberly Arrington (Trevor Bates) of Orrville, Ohio; Erika Arrington (Timothy Roberts) of Marshallville, Ohio; Brittany Wenner of Warren, Ohio;Samantha Wenner of Warren, Ohio; her three beautiful granddaughters, Aziza (12); Avalee (8); Arwen (3 months); 1 handsome grandson, Christian (12); sister, Stephanie Ratliff; brother, Timothy Sayre; biological father, Larry Doyle; sister, Shannon Doyle-West, and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
We couldn't have asked for a better mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, niece and friend. We will all miss Tammy each and every day. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all of those who knew and loved her. Our hearts are broken by this unexpected loss. Tammy was surely one of a kind. To be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
Tammy's service will be held by Pastor Bill Looman, on January 20, 2023, at 1:30 pm, at The Refuge, located at 4872 Darrow Road, Stow, Ohio 44224. Her friends and family are invited to share happy memories and celebrate Tammy's life in the way she would want to be remembered.
