Kevin R. Wolf, devoted family man, cherished educator, and enthusiastic coach, passed away at the age of 45 on December 18, 2025, in
Ashtabula, OH. Born on December 2, 1980, in
Geneva, OH, he was the son of Tim and Kathleen (Beckwith) Wolf. At a young age he spent 13 years working on the Marrison farm where he gained a strong work ethic and an appreciation for the land. After graduating from Pymatuning Valley High School in 1999, Kevin's thirst for knowledge led him to earn his Bachelor's degree from Grove City College, where he played football. He went on to earn his Master's degree from Slippery Rock University. In 2006, Kevin began his career as a Special Education Teacher and has now been a long time 5th-grade school teacher at Pymatuning Valley Middle School. He was a beloved figure in the school corridors, known for his ability to inspire his students and foster a love for learning. Kevin's heart was truly at home, however, with his family. He was a devoted husband to Erin (Kuenzig) Wolf and a loving father to his children, who adored him, Liam, Jack, Bridget, and his infant daughter on the way, Felicity. He was also dedicated to his parents, Tim and Kathy Wolf of New Lyme; a cherished brother to Kimberly (Jason) Wallace of
Ashtabula, OH, and Kenneth (Melanie) Wolf of Delaware, OH; a respected son-in-law to Charles and Laura Kuenzig of Chesterland, OH, and held a special place in the hearts of his many brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death recently by his infant daughter, Mary Jude Wolf on Feb. 21, 2025. An avid sports enthusiast, Kevin dedicated much of his time to coaching various teams, including the PV Soccer Youth league, PV Middle School football, and PV High School football and wrestling teams. His passion for sports was only matched by his commitment to his players, whom he mentored both on and off the field. Kevin's adventurous spirit led his family on many weekend road trips. He loved to teach his children what life on a farm was like by involving them in the daily care of it, and share his love of the outdoors with them. He was recently starting to become a supportive sports dad. He was a pillar in the community, known for his loving nature and thoughtful ways. Kevin was very humble in his daily life always there to lend a helping hand to family, friends, and neighbors. Kevin's legacy continues in the countless lives he enriched through his teaching, coaching, and the simple, yet profound acts of kindness he extended to all. Kevin's memory will be cherished and kept alive by the laughter of his children, the growth of his students, and the stories shared by all who loved him. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, December 28th, from 2:00 until 5:00 PM at the Andover Christian Church Family Life Center, 200 Stillman Ave.,
Andover, OH. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, December 29, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 103 N. Maple St., Orwell, OH, with Father Kevin McCaffrey officiating.
