Tammy Dee Taylor, born on February 1, 1966, in Louisville, Kentucky, passed away peacefully at her home on September 26, 2025. Throughout her life, Tammy was known for her warm spirit and strong faith. She was an active member of the Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, where she found community and solace, sharing her faith with those around her.
She leaves behind a close-knit group of family and friends. Her siblings include Olen Franklin, Karen Franklin, Beverly Scalf, Lisa Moon, Angela Willingham, and Mari Scalf. Nieces and nephews Tina Clark, Misty Hickerson, Ronald Tuttle, Johnnie Hikes, Colt Hickerson, Melissa DaVania, Crystal Williams, Anthony Scalf, and Heather Scalf. Tammy was a God grandma to Justin and Jaxton Young, Ma'lani Murden, Raelynn Young, Shawn Hayden III, Morris Wicker, Sunni Hayden, Sophia DaVania, and Bailey Clark. Her relationships with these individuals brought great joy and meaning to her life.
Tammy was preceded in death by her husband William B Taylor, her father, Olen Haskell Franklin; her mother, Mary Louise Welch; and siblings Sandra Tuttle, Donna Hickerson, Shirley McCubbin, Mike Franklin, and Tina Franklin, who will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
The Visitation for Tammy Dee Taylor will be held on October 2, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Maraman Billings Funeral Home, located at 605 South Preston Hwy, Shepherdsville, KY 40165. Following the visitation, a Funeral Service will take place on the same day at 1:00 PM. Her burial will take place following the service at Cedar Grove cemetery, located at 187 Deatsville Rd, Shepherdsville, KY 40165.
Tammy's legacy will endure through the love and memories she created with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
