Tammy Lou Tiffee, 64, of Monterey, Louisiana, passed away peacefully, at home surrounded by family on December 5, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 21, 1960, in Ferriday, Louisiana. Tammy was an active member of Eva Church of God where she spent many days feeding the church's youth. She was a wonderful, caring nurse by trade, but later gave that up to stay home and help raise her grandchildren. Her grandchildren were her world, they are the reason she fought so hard.
Tammy is survived by her daughters, Deanna Tiffee Magoun (husband Andy) and Sarah Wiley Duncan (husband Greg), brothers Jack Nolan Tiffee, Jr. (wife Teresa) and James Aubrey "Jay" Tiffee, grandchildren, Grace Ashur McNeely, Anna Claire Magoun, Audrey Cammeron Duncan, Jack Preston Magoun and Landon Gage Duncan. She was also known as Nonna and Aunt Tam to many nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.
Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Nolan Tiffee, Sr. and Minnie Dell Tiffee and by sister, Jennifer Lyssy.
Pallbearers will be Jack Magoun, Landon Duncan, Braxton Tiffee, Tate Tiffee, Wyatt Geoghegan, Colby Avery, Tucker Avery and Chase Avery.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Andy Magoun, Greg Duncan, Jessy Tiffee, Lonny Geoghegan, Red Tiffee, Tom Tiffee, Hart Tiffee, Tim Richards, Terry Layne Tiffee, Ronnie Crum, Dewayne LaPrairie, Jachob LaPrairie, Caeleb LaPrairie and Cam Avery.
The family would like to thank Dr. Halawani, Dr. Menache and the Cabrini Cancer Center along with Allegiance Hospice, especially Erin Kirby Bonds, her nurse. Young's Funeral Home in Ferriday, Louisiana, is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. Nonna will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Remembrances can be made through contributions to the Eva Church of God Youth Group.
