Tanya Herndon Obituary
Tanya Jeanene Patterson Herndon, 63, of North Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on October 18, 2024. She was born to parents LaVerne Patterson Brown and William Patterson, on 07/15/1961 in Searcy, Arkansas.
Tanya was a loving, proud, and devoted mother, Teako, daughter, niece, cousin, and friend. If you knew Tanya, you likely knew all about her love for her granddaughters, Magnolia and Olive. Being a Teako (grandmother) to those girls gave her the greatest of joys in life.
Tanya is survived by daughter, Bridgett Acker, son-in-law, Cole Acker, two granddaughters, Magnolia and Olive Acker, and many close cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, aunts Mildred Fisher and Oleta Yarbrough, uncles Tuffy Yarbrough, Vindell Yarbrough, Charles Yarbrough, and Phil Yarbrough, and cousin Valerie Yarbrough.
The family has entrusted Cole Funeral Home with the arrangements. A visitation is scheduled for Monday, October 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in Kensett, Arkansas. A graveside service will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Griffen Leggett Rest Hills in North Little Rock, Arkansas. Tanya loved color so in honor of her memory the family requests you wear a pop of teal or purple to the services.
